Supermarket Gutted by Fire in Abuja

The popular Prince Ebeano Supermarket located at Lokogoma area 2 kilometers away from the city centre in Abuja has been gutted by fire.

Mr Ibrahim Tauhid the public relations officer of the FCT Fire service confirm to Fire Fighters Magazine correspondence of the unfortunate fire incidence that gutted the Ebeano Supermarket on the 17th July 2021 destroying property worth millions of naira.

We got a call from our control room around 10.15 pm and our men from NJI Fire station, Games Village, Garki and Asokoro fire stations responded swiftly to curtail the inferno, Tauhid said.

Eyewitness at the scene of the incident confirm to reporters that the fire actually started around 9.30 pm before the arrival of the fire service personnel, I am sure they did not call the fire service on time which is why you could see some of this damage here, Mrs Alice said

Mr Adebayo, the head Operations, of the FCT Fire Service said, our men have been positioned to curtail the inferno taking cognisance of any explosion with backup from officers and men of the Federal Fire Service.

And as at the time of filing this report the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be ascertained.
