Cocoa cola truck crashed into college of Health, Zuba, Niger state.


Report has confirmed that, at the wee hours of Saturday 29th August 2020, a coca-cola truck with reg: no: KUJ -90 XU carrying empty crate of bottles tried to manouver an oncoming vehicle along the kaduna/Zuba express way thereby losing control and ramped into a 2 storey building of ASSI COLLEGE OF HEALTH, Zuba, leaving casualties with various degree of injuries. Fire Fighters Magazine gathered.

Speaking at the scene of the incident, the Assistant Controller General of the FCT Fire Service, Mr Julius Opetunsin said, a coca-cola truck with reg: no: KUJ -90 XU carrying empty crate of bottles ramped into the building of college of health technology and collapsed the building, leaving 3 casualties with various degrees of injuries.

As at the time of filling this report, some people are still trapped inside the collapse building, while the combine team of FCT Fire Service and FEMA has already rescued one person and has since been taken to Gwagwalada Specialist for immediate treatment, Opetunsin said.

The incident commander at the scene of the incident, the Director of FCT Fire Service Mr Julius Opetunsin, thank the entire response team from Asokoro Fire Service station, National Emergency Management Agency, Nigeria Police, NSCDC,Road Safety, the gallant Nigerian Army FEMA and Zuba Fire station as well as  other agencies that responded promptly to curtail the incident.
